Overview
This study examines effective communication strategies to promote iron nutrition for infants at risk for iron deficiency anemia in northern Aboriginal communities. Radio ads were found to be the most successful communication modality in terms of reach and exposure. Sales of iron-rich foods increased between the pre and post intervention period. Parents also reported increased use of iron-rich infant food. Cooking activities had more limited reach and exposure.
