Category Page: Social Support Networks

Social support networks include friends, family and communities who may provide emotional support, information sharing, and the provision of material resources and services. These networks are associated with better health as they can provide a buffer when dealing with adversity, assist in solving problems, impart a sense of control, and provide resources to enhance quality of life. An established set of social networks is important for a stable society.
